# Quidwise CFO: the full description > Ada is an AI finance director for UK owner-managed businesses, in any sector: limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. One plan, £79 a month per business, everything included; 14-day free trial, no card. Made by CIJ Labs, United Kingdom. ## How it works - Sources: bank accounts through Open Banking (TrueLayer or Enable Banking, read-only), Xero, QuickBooks Online or Sage Business Cloud Accounting, a spreadsheet or CSV upload or a ledger pushed through the API, and finance email in Gmail, Microsoft 365, Outlook.com or any IMAP mailbox. - Code computes every figure from those sources, and every figure has its receipt: the transactions behind it. A language model (Claude, through Anthropic's commercial API) writes Ada's words; every pound figure and percentage it writes is checked against the engine's own numbers. - Ada sends nothing outward without the owner: an email, an invoice or a webhook waits on her desk for the owner's sign-off, except the reminder and statement kinds the owner's signed mandate lets her send after a 10-minute hold. Money never leaves without the owner's own bank asking them. - The business's data is not used to train any model. Text inside the data (bank narratives, emails) is treated as data, never as an instruction. ## What Ada does - Cash: the balance across every bank, runway, a 13-week forecast and a monthly projection, 10,000 simulated futures for the odds of running short, and her own forecast track record, scored as the dates pass. - Money in: who owes the business and how late, judged against each customer's own paying habit on a bank feed; credit control under a mandate the owner signs (the friendly reminder and the statement can go by themselves after a 10-minute hold; the firm letter and the final notice always ask); a pay page in every chase; statutory late-payment interest worked out. - Money out: the bills in the post, one figure per creditor; the weekly bill run as one batch the owner approves in their own bank; creditor matters and legal letters read and staged; a recovery plan when not everyone can be paid. - Tax and compliance: what to set aside, every statutory deadline in date order, the VAT return and the confirmation statement prepared before the deadline, the Companies House record read every day. - Reports: the Daily, a morning note every working day; the Monday edition; management accounts and a lender pack as PDFs; every figure with the transactions behind it. - Planning: KPIs against targets, what is drifting before it turns red, margins by customer, costs and price rises, funding routes, exit readiness, what the business is worth to the owner, decisions measured as moves, and the boardroom, where four advisers argue out a big decision. - Everywhere the owner is: the app, voice, WhatsApp, web push and email, one memory across them; the accountant joins free. ## What stays off for now - Filing the VAT return with HMRC (it is prepared for the owner or their accountant today). - Filing the confirmation statement at Companies House. - Paying bills through a payments partner (the owner pays the batch from their own bank). - Ada phoning late payers. - Card payments on the pay page (the business's bank details show instead). ## Pricing - £79 a month per business. One plan; no tiers, no extras. 14-day free trial with no card. The owner's accountant has a free seat across all their clients. ## For AI agents Everything an agent does is scoped to one business and needs that business's API key. The owner creates it in Quidwise: Settings, API access, Create key. It is shown once and can be revoked there at any time. ### MCP server - URL: https://cfo.cijlabs.com/api/mcp - Transport: Streamable HTTP, stateless, JSON replies (POST only).
