Terms of service
The agreement between your business and us when you use Quidwise CFO.
Who we are
Quidwise CFO is provided by CIJ Labs (“we”, “us”) [legal entity name, company number and registered address to be completed]. Contact: info@cijlabs.com. These terms are with the business you sign up for, and you confirm you may agree to them on its behalf. The service is for businesses, not consumers.
What the service does, and what it is not
Quidwise CFO reads the bank, accounting and email data you connect, computes your figures, explains them, warns you about problems, answers questions and, when you approve, carries out tasks for you such as sending an email. It provides financial intelligence and analysis. It is not regulated financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and we are not your accountant, auditor or lawyer. Decisions remain yours; where a decision needs a professional, ask one.
The figures are calculated from the data your sources provide; if a source is wrong, late or incomplete, so are the figures. Ada’s words are written by an AI model and can be wrong even when the figures are right: check anything important before you act on it.
Your account
- Keep access to your email address secure: sign-in codes are sent to it.
- You decide who in your business has access, and you are responsible for what they do with it.
- Tell us at once if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Your data and your connections
Your business data stays yours. You give us permission to process it to provide the service, as our privacy policy describes. You confirm you are entitled to connect each bank account, accounting system and mailbox you connect. You can disconnect any of them at any time. Ada sends nothing on your behalf without your approval of that exact message.
Fair use
Do not use the service to break the law, to send spam or misleading messages, to try to reach other customers’ data, to probe or overload our systems, or to resell the service without our written agreement.
Trial, fees and cancelling
New businesses start with a free trial of 14 days; no card is needed. After that the plan you choose is billed monthly in advance through Stripe, at the price shown when you subscribe (plus VAT where it applies). You can cancel at any time by emailing us [or from the billing page, once it is added]; the service runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not refunded part-way, except where the law requires. We give at least 30 days’ notice by email of any price change.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available at all times but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted: banks, accounting systems, Google, Meta and our other providers have outages of their own. We improve the service continually; if we remove something material you rely on, we tell you first.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months [cap to be confirmed by a solicitor].
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or leaves invoices unpaid, after telling you and giving you a fair chance to put it right where we can. When an account closes, we delete its business data as our privacy policy describes; ask us before closing if you want an export.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute. If we change these terms we tell you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
